I got my own business card! No, I'm not part of a business, nor am I starting my own just yet. (Will I ever?) But I have been meeting a lot of people here in Sapporo, and felt it was high time I made myself a business card to give to people. It is tradition in Japan to give your business card to people when you first meet them. So mine has all the pertinent information on it. The front has my name (English and Japanese), phone number, e-mail address, and blog address. It also states that I am a missionary (which I am) and has the Calvary Chapel dove mark on it. The back features an extremely important Bible verse with a few explanations as well: John 3:16, but it explains who this "God" is (Creator of All Things) and who "His only Son" is (the Lord Jesus Christ)... oh, and the front features the Canadian flag to show where I am from, while the back features the Japanese flag, to signify that God so loves JAPAN! (In retrospect, my card seems kind of tacky or like something a not-fully-mature adult might make... but I don't mind if people look at it and scorn me... just so long as they read the message on the back!)
この前、名刺を作ってもらいました。僕は正社員ではないし、自営をしていないけど、北海道に来てからたくさんの出会いがあって、名刺を作らなきゃと思った。僕の名刺は独特で、表面はカナダの国旗を背景にして名前、使命（宣教師）、電話番号、メールアドレス、そしてこのブログのURLを載せました。それにカルバリーチャペルの鳩マークを入れてもらいました。（上のサンプルは黒く塗ってあるけど実際の名刺には白く塗ってもらいました。）そして裏面には日の丸を背景にしてヨハネの福音書３章１６節を載せてもらいました。追加として、「（万物を創られた）神は」、そして「その独り子（主イエスキリスト）」というふうにしました。なぜなら、神を知らない日本人にはもっと明確にして、イエスキリストの名を知らせたらいいと思ったからです。ちょっと派手で大人っぽくない名刺かもしれないけど渡される人がそれを見て、御言葉を読んでいたら任務達成！
