Maruyama Park - A Brief Look

The other day I went to Maruyama Park - about 10 minutes from my place by rollerblades. It's a gorgeous place with lots of greenery and facilities. Unfortunately, it is also home to one of the biggest shrines in Hokkaido. So a lot of people go there and lift up empty prayers to a god they have no clue about. But I ignore that part of the park and enjoy the natural beauty there.

僕のアパートからローラーブレードで１０分くらい離れているのは円山公園です。緑豊かで落ち着きやすくていろんな施設が設けられている公園ですのでよく行きます。残念ながら、北海道の最も大きな神宮も入っている。多くの人々がそこで虚しい祈りを知らない神にささげている。僕はそういう所を無視して自然だけを満喫しています。
